Mr. Michael E. McMahon, 64, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jacalyn Marchand McMahon.
Born December 17, 1949 in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Maurice and Gladys Williamson McMahon.
Michael was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, the U.S.S. Ulysses S. Grant, SSBN – 631, Alumni Association, the Sub Vets, the Elks Lodge #684, the American Legion Post #297 and the Thurmont Dance Club. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, dancing, traveling, gardening, reading and genealogy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children Melanie Holt and husband Brian of Emmitsburg and Heather Hyatt and husband Jacob of Frederick, grandchildren
Allen McMahon- Rowe, Brianna Holt, Michael Holt, Miles Hyatt, Quinten Hyatt and Olivia Hyatt, two brothers William McMahon and wife Janet of MA and Donald McMahon of NH and a sister-in-law Irma McMahon of NH. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas McMahon.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00, St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs For Road, Walkersville, Maryland .
