Michael Kunzle

January 12, 1953 — September 10, 2017

Michael Edward Kunzle, 64, of Frederick, Maryland where he passed away on September 10, 2017, from heart disease.
Michael was born in Bethesda, Maryland on January 12, 1953. He was the son of Marcella Kunzle and the late John Eugene Kunzle.
He graduated from Wheaton High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree from Trinity College and University in Construction Management.
Michael was married to Patricia Lee on July 14, 2008, and again on January 8, 2009 by the King himself, Elvis.
Michael worked as a Construction Administrator for Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development anticipating to retire on his 10 year anniversary. He enjoyed his family, music, silk screening, reading, creative writing, life and travel.
Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee; children, Briklyn, Miles and Lyndal; children’s mother, Carolyn Kunzle; favorite son in law, Ahmed Abdul Khabir; grandchildren, Fabian, Arabia, Xavier, Samayah, Lilah, and Eli; mother, Marcella Kunzle; brother’s, John E. Kunzle, Jr. and Jeffrey Kunzle; and sister, Jacqueline Scholl.
In addition to his father, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Jay Kunzle.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on September 20, 2017 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick, Maryland 21702.  A celebration of his life will follow at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The National Necrotizing Fasciitis Foundation.
