Mr. Michael William Jennings, 57 of Knoxville, Maryland went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the fiancé of Donna Coulter.
Born April 19, 1957 in Brownsville, Maryland he was the son of the late Gerald Lee and Rose Marie Jennings.
He was a 1975 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He was employed with the B&O Railroad from 1975 until he went to work at SAIC in Fort Detrick from 1988-2003.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 191 in Brunswick.
Mike was a jack of all trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. Some of his talents included plumbing, mechanical work, welding, carpentry, electrical and the list goes on.
His passion was restoring old cars and tractors, attending car shows and shooting pool with his friends.
He loved old time music, old movies and religious shows, especially the Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah.
Recently Mike's wish came true by meeting Jay Leno at is home. They both shared a passion of old vintage cars. Mike always wanted to go see Jay Leno's garage and his collection but due to his illness, Jay came to see him. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of Washington County for making this dream come true. In addition to Hospice the family is grateful for Dr. Michael McComack and his staff.
In addition to his loving fiancé, Donna he is survived by his two brothers, Jerry Lee Jennings (Sonia), Terry Lynn Jennings (Carrie) and a half-brother Richard William Trott (Lisa). He will also be remembered by his step siblings, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, a great-great niece and the Kenneth Coulter family.
He will be met at Heaven's gate by his special dogs, Duchess and Hobo.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bill and Pauline Jennings and maternal grandparents, William and Delcie Nally.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave, Brunswick on Thursday, March 26th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27th at 1:00pm at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 2150 Boteler Road, Brownsville with Rev. Charles Holder and Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church or to the Washington County My Wish Program.
