Michael “Mike” Kelley Dillow, 73, of Sharpsburg Maryland was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born on November 2, 1950, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Walter and Hazel (Adkins) Dillow.
Michael was good with his hands and loved the outdoors. Over the course of his life, he ventured into various careers; manufacturing, HVAC, roofing, paving, and carpentry. In his spare time, he enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and boating.
Michael was a religious man. He enjoyed sharing his faith and journey with God to others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, John Henry, Ray, Betty, Virginia, Duke, Helen, Louis, Brownie, Elbert, Paul, Claude, and Carl.
He is survived by his two sisters, Darlene (Charles) Raines of Dixie, GA and Diane (Edmund) Miarecki of Edgewater, MD; his five children, Bruce (Jennifer) Dillow of Sharpsburg, Josh (Heather) Dillow of Boonsboro, Blair (Mike) Jones of Boonsboro, Brooke Dillow of Hagerstown, Travis (Ashley) Dillow of Boonsboro; grandchildren, Jacob, Cody, Wade, Kaylee, Kamryn, Addison, Mason, Ava, Delanie, Denim, Daylynn, Garrett, and Caroline; a close nephew, Chuck (Marzella) Raines of Dixie, GA; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
A celebration of Michael's life journey will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro. Pastor Jimmy Wells will officiate. Burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
