Michael Case

Michael (Mike) Case, 37 of Knoxville, MD went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 2, 2010.

He was the husband of Marsha R. Case. Born April 5, 1973 in Tyrone, PA he was the son of Michael & Trudy Case of Woodland, PA

Mike was a member of Valley Baptist Church, Middletown, MD.   He enjoyed reading and learning from the Bible.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR. Mike graduated from Clearfield Area High School, Clearfield, PA and the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

He had been previously employed with Carter Control Systems, Frederick and most recently with Pritchett Controls, Beltsville, MD

Surviving in addition to his wife Marsha is a step daughter Samantha D. Fry, Two brothers Ritch Case and wife Beth of Frederick and Jeff Case of Dubois, PA, one nephew Ritchie Case and two nieces Sarah and Julia Case all of Frederick.  Paternal Grandmother Doris Burton, Detroit, MI. and his wife's parents Walter & Diane Stine, Walkersville.

He was pr eceded in death by Maternal Grandparents Gerald & Louise Ritchie, Osceola Mills, PA and Paternal Grandfather Gerald Case, Sodus, NY. Additionally, he is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was loved by all and will be missed by many.

Mike was very active with the American Cancer Society –He was a member of the planning committee , was the Mission Chair, Advocacy Chair and the Advocacy Ambassador for the Relay for Life-Frederick for many years and most recently he was the survivor speaker at Mount St Marys Relay Carnival 2010.  This past year, Mike was the 2010 South Atlantic Division Award Winner for Relay For Life fundraising.  Mike was also a volunteer at the Cancer Resource Center.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Sunday, December 5 ^th from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 6 ^th at 11:00AM with Pastor Larry Nelson and Pastor Mike Knight officiating.

Interment will be in Park Heights Cemetery, Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers, Mike had requested that donations be made to American Cancer Society, In memory of Mike Case, 1037 Haven Rd,  Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ritch Case, Jeff Case, Bill Twigg, Bill Cartwright, Mike Shoemaker and Wayne Hausler.
