Michael Carter, Sr.

November 15, 1952 — December 4, 2017

Mr. Michael Alton Carter, Sr.,65, of Knoxville, MD passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, after a long courageous battle with numerous health issues, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Teresa A. Carter.

Born November 15, 1952 in Frederick, MD he was the son of the late Alton Briscoe and Carrie Lorraine (Lynn) Carter.

Michael worked for 43 years in HVAC Industry where he made lifelong friendships. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of the Earnhardt's #3 and #88 and enjoyed playing the lottery. Michael loved Elvis and singing Elvis karaoke passing his love of the microphone to his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and loved spending time with his family, always being the rock even through his illness. He will also be missed by his partner in crime, granddog, Wilson and his four legged cat daughter, Chloe.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Tracy Hall and wife Venetia of Brusnwick, Lyndi D'Amico and husband Danny of Brunswick and Michael A. Carter, Jr. and wife Ashley of Myersville and Tessa M.L. Carter and significant other Robert of Knoxville; grandchildren Angel and fiance Michael, Zachary, Myiah, Hannah, Skylar, Aleah, Krissy and Kyle; brother James L. Carter of Berryville, VA, and his sister Vicki Carter of Newport News, VA and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his special friends Brenda, Dennis, Rick, Greg, Glenn and a host of others.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM and also on Friday, December 8 from 10AM-1PM where a funeral service will begin at 1PM. Rev. Roland England, Jr. will officiate.

Interment will follow at Brownsville Cemetery.
