Michael Allen Boone

Michael Allen "Mike" Boone, 61, of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, formerly of Keymar, MD, passed from this life on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Kingwood Healthcare, Kingwood, WV.

Born on June 8, 1963, in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of James Russell Boone and Dorothy Odessa (Davis) Boone of Big Bend, WV, formerly of Keymar, MD.

Mike was a 1981 graduate of Walkersville High School. He worked as a meat cutter for many years at Mains Meat Market, a cook with Boones Family Restaurant, and at Mains Ice Cream. Mike enjoyed many hobbies over the years such as cars, tattoos, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, attending auctions, collecting antiques, cast iron fry pans, scissors, #13 Ball Mason Jars, and watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies. He loved hanging out with his dogs, Lucy and Birdie. Of all the things he enjoyed doing, spending time with his grandchildren was most enjoyable to him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his greatest love, Joanne Bauer Boone and daughters, Amber Lynn Boone and Brooke Marie Boone-Vanhoose and husband, Travis; grandchildren, Rebekah Jo and Madison Lynn, all of Bruceton Mills, WV. Additionally, he survived by his siblings, Russell Eugene Boone and wife Jean, and Lisa Marie Boone Hildebrand and husband, Nevin; sister-in-law, Wendy Boone Buckner; nephew, Chad Eugene Boone and wife Kristin, and their children, Kaedyn, Delaney and Braelyn; nieces, Whitney Boone Kramer and husband Lance and their children, Landon, James and Amelia; Ashley Marie Hildebrand Storm and husband David, and their children, Travis, Lillian and Jase; Bridget Virginia Hildebrand Keeney and husband Jake, and their son, Daxton; many aunts and uncles, including a very special aunt, Barbara Boone Martin; and additional family members, cousins and many friends. 

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Carl Melvin Boone and Mildred Christine Boone, John Francis Davis and Odessa Naomi Davis, and his in-laws, Paul H. Bauer and Joanne Bauer. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

A funeral service will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, November 25, 2024, from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bonnie Kramer officiating. 

Interment will be at Union Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Libertytown, MD.
