Mr. Merhl “Jack” W. Wisner, Jr., of Walkersville, MD, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Glade Valley Center. He was the husband of Lois Jean Bentz Wisner, his wife of 58 years..
Born July 7, 1929 in Bloomfield, he was the son of the late Merhl, Sr. and Margaret Mercer Wisner.
Mr. Wisner serve his Country in the 1 st Calvary Division, during the Korean War, in the US Army. He was a truck driver for Farmers Supply and Cargill in Walkersville retiring from Bowers Lumber Co. in Woodsboro. He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting, fishing, bluegrass and was an avid duckpin bowler, redskin fan and NASCAR.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Larry Wisner and wife Wanda of Walkersville, two grandchildren Jessica Linton and husband J.P. and Jason Wisner and wife Amanda, two great grandchildren John Patrick, Jr. and Jackson Linton, and a brother Robert Wisner of Frederick.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Avenue, Walkersville, on Wednesday, August 24, from 10:00 am until service time at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Les Sims officiating.
Interment Glade Cemetery.
