Merhl Gibson
March 27, 1973 — January 3, 2019
God in His infinite wisdom called our beloved Merhl Dwayne ‘Fridge’ Gibson, 45, of Frederick, Maryland into eternal rest on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, Maryland. He was the son of Merhl and Joan Gibson.
Dwayne was born on March 27, 1973 at Saint Agnes Hospital, Baltimore Maryland. He received his education at Frederick High School. Before getting sick, he was employed by Citi Group Mortgage, Frederick, Maryland.n
Dwayne was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved playing Xbox with his friends and his brother-in-law. When greeting his friends, his favor statement was "What’s Up Dog."
He leaves to cherish his memory: Sister, Tamika(Adrian) Farmer, Las Vegas, Nevada; proud uncle to Jaylen Farmer; grandmother, Estelle Lee, Dickerson, Maryland; six aunts: Barbara (John) Mulheron, Sabillasville, Maryland, Nancy Cann and Rosemary Polite (Horace) , Montgomery Village, Maryland; Ruby (Cookie) Williams, Frederick, Maryland: Patricia Carter (Tony), Clinton, Maryland; Anna Gibson, Adamstown, Maryland; three uncles: James (Pat) Lee, Gaithersburg, Maryland; Ervin Lee, Kearneysville, West Virginia and Clifton Lee, Hagerstown, Maryland; devoted cousins Marco Gibson, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Erica (Will) Jenkins, Upper Marlboro, Maryland and host of cousins.
In addition, Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents: William (Buzz) and Gloria Gibson, and Wilson Lee; and two uncles: William (Pud) and Theodore (Teddy) Gibson.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand why some things have to be, but in His wisdom, God has planned beyond our power to see . . "Safe in the arms of Jesus. Safe on His gentle breast. There by His love overshadows, surely his soul shall rest."
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Thursday, January 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM
Interment will follow in Hope Hill Cemetery, Urbana.
