Meredith L. Haupt, 88, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his home. He sorely missed his wife of 63 years, Patsy, who preceded him in death on March 18, 2024.
Born on July 16, 1936, in Middletown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Henry and Olive (Lighter) Haupt.
He was a graduate of the Middletown High School. Meredith retired after over 40 years of employment with MJ Grove, later known as Genstar, as a road construction superintendent.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Donato and husband, Jim, Brian Haupt and wife, Stacey, Todd Haupt and wife, Patty; grandchildren, Kristine Cline and husband, Chad, Craig Haupt and wife, Brandy, Jaime Donato, Scott Haupt and wife, Jesse, Nathan Haupt and Natalie Haupt; great-grandchildren, Gianna Cline, Kendall Cline, Briar Cline, Laikyn Haupt, Bryson Haupt, Emma Haupt, Willow Haupt and Taylor Haupt.
In addition to his wife, Patsy, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert; and sister, Betty Magaha.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
A celebration of Meredith's life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Final resting place will be Lutheran Church Cemetery in Middletown, Maryland.
