Meredith Benfield

Meredith Joy Benfield, 78, of Frederick, MD was called to the Lord, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lindsey R. Benfield.
Born April 23, 1939 in Grafton, WV she was the daughter of the late Ernest M. and Dorothy V. (Collins) Riddle.
Meredith retried from Bell Atlantic phone company with over 30 years of service. In her later years she enjoyed working for Cracker Barrel of Frederick for several years. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and great friends. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her four children Cynthia Kestner and husband James of Frederick, Sandy O'Connor and husband Richard of Walkersville, Brenda Hoffman and husband Myron of Frederick and Lance Benfield and wife Connie of Frederick; brother Ernest Riddle and wife Rita of Brunswick, GA; seven grandchildren Danielle, Kirsten, Joy, Tyler, Dillon, Gabrielle and Kyle; great-grandchildren Sawyer and Nevaeh.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
Services and interment will be private.
