Mr. Melvin Clarence Miller, 77 of Brunswick, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Josephine "Josey" Miller.
Born October 5, 1935 in Chesterfield, MD he was the son of the late Mahlon R. Miller and Mary L. Smith.
Melvin worked in is earlier years on a farm in Baltimore where loved tending to and caring for race horses. He later worked for and retired from the Frederick Housing Authority after 14 years as a Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed working and using his many mechanical, carpentry and various other skills.
He was an avid reader and loved to travel especially his trips to the mountains.
Melvin was a devoted family man and loved his family more than anything.
In addition to his loving wife Josephine he is survived by his five sons, Michael Myers and wife Martha, Mathew Myers and wife Stacy, Charles Sarver and wife Carol, Barry Sarver and wife Nancy and Marty Sarver and companion Sandy, his four sisters, Fairy Price and husband Ellis, Gloria Burkett, Carol Sarver and husband Charles and Rosalie Kamauf.
He will also be remembered by his numerous adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1100 North Maple Ave., Brunswick on Sunday, May 19th from 1:00-4:00PM.
