Melody Ann Clark

January 17, 1956 — April 20, 2025

Mt. Airy

"I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss The Dance."

Melody Ann Clark, 69, of Weirton, WV and Mount Airy, MD, mournfully passed from this life on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born on January 17, 1956, in Weirton, WV, she was the daughter of Beth and Dale Clarke.

Melody attended and graduated from Weir High School, in Weirton, WV. She used her numerous gifts as an In-Home Health Nurse for many years, and then a Workers Compensation Case Manager for Premier Comp Solutions in Robinson Township PA, where she retired. Just beautiful. A ray of brilliant sunshine. There are an abundance of wonderful things that can be said about Melody, or "Ody", least of which are that she met every single person with her memorable, beaming smile and an "Ever-lovin" hug! Her collection of "Happy-faces" encompasses her being, perfectly.

Her zest for life was contagious, and no one could ever be in her presence and not walk away laughing and joyful just to have known her for a moment. That amazing humor, kindness, and the absolute pure love that shone from her could never be equaled. On no occasion was there a call from anyone that needed her, that she ever neglected. She has given her last dime to help another. And as she always pronounced, "My kids are my life." That dedication to family was true to the end. Melody could play piano, sew, sing, and had a wonderous artistic ability to paint and draw. Music was her passion! She drew upon those talents for many years as a mom, Children's Choir conductor, Sunday school teacher, and a play director, for her church. Among many other projects she endeavored to accomplish, she gave her all to anything and everyone who needed her, they didn't have to ask. A more selfless Mother, "Gammy", Sister, Aunt, and friend, could never be found.

You could not help but be affected by her sparkling soul, her infectious laughter. Words cannot encapsulate her immense delightful personality, and there will never be another, quite like her. We were not ready; however, God needed her joy. Matthew, Devon, Bitzie and Jim have her now, and we know she reunited with them like she did everyone: with a smile. Melody is survived by her adoring daughter- Michelle Summers and her fiancé Ronnie Frantum, loving son- Michael Summers, loving sister- Faith Nichols and husband George, and loving sister-in-law- Pam Clarke. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter- Devon Summers, son- Matthew Summers, brother- Jim Clarke, and sister- Bridgett "Bitzie" Pennington.
