Melissa Faye "Lissie" Hines Link, 53, of Thomas Drive, Hagerstown, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Washington County Hospital.
Born December 4, 1955 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Ira Eugene Hines, Sr. and Betty J. Stevens Hines of Hagerstown.
Missy was a graduate of Williamsport High School; an avid reader and walker.
She was currently employed by Williamsport Nursing Home and previously by St. James School.
She was a member of Sharpsburg Bible Church.
Lissie is survived by her husband of 19 years, Robert R. Link; son, Robert H. Link of Williamsport; sisters, Melinda K. Smith of Hagerstown, Melanie J. Ward of Sharpsburg, Michelle M. Stottlemyer and Maureen G. Stottlemyer both of Hagerstown; brothers, Shannon R. Showe of Conway, SC, Steven J. Hines, Sr. of Boonsboro and Ira E. "Dickie" Hines, Jr. of Smithsburg; granddaughter, Kira Betts; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved canine companion, Boomer; and her maternal grandparents, Earl and Thelma Stevens.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 13 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sharpsburg Bible Church with Rev. Gene Renner officiating. Burial will follow in Manor Cemetery near Boonsboro.
