Melinda Kathryn Nickols 64, of Montgomery Village, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Casey Hospice House Care Center in Derwood, MD. She was the wife of Gerald Garner.
Born on October 7, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph I. and Camille Wilson Priest. Melinda was a property manager for Com Source. She loved dogs and enjoyed reading and shopping.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children: Jennifer Harris and husband Ben of Frederick and Matthew Nickols of Rockville; two grandchildren: Lyndsey Smallwood and Jack Garbers; two brothers: Alan Priest of Oregon and Duncan Priest of Pennsylvania; she is also remembered by Natalie Smith - Stepchild, Blaine Smith - Natalie's husband, Cameron Smith - Step grandson and Payton Smith - Step granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Wednesday, May 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, MD. Graveside service and interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
