Mrs. Melinda G. Cook, 55 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Edward F. Cook, her husband of 33 years.
Born November 13, 1955 in Frederick she was the daughter of the late Lester Williams, Sr. and Selba Kintz.
She was a member of the Brunswick Eagles. She enjoyed reading romance novels and books by Sylvia Brown and John Edwards. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by her three daughters, Tressa Bell and husband Jimmy of Brunswick, Casey Slattery and husband Joey of Knoxville and Chastity Lawson and husband Joe of Frederick, eight grandchildren, Brooke, Nicholas, Peyton, Jenna, Alexa, Ashley, Mischa and Linda, a brother, Lester Williams, JR., and two sisters, Gail Webber and husband Kevin and Patty Fleming and husband Larry.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Monday, April 25
th
from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-9:00PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 26th at 1:00PM with Rev. Tim May officiating.
Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
