Megan Marie Trout

Megan Marie Trout entered the kingdom of heaven on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, when she shed her earthly pain. 

She was born on June 12, 1985, in Montgomery County, Maryland. She grew up in Mt. Airy, MD where she attended Green Valley ES, New Market MS, and then graduated from Linganore HS in 2003. She worked as a bartender at The Tavern in Walkersville, MD, where she made numerous friends. She was co-owner of Trout’s Market, raising two beautiful children while working a variety of other jobs.

Megan later became co-founder and co-owner of Trout’s House in McHenry, MD. She was well known for her crab cakes, which were abundantly sold to locals and seasonal tourists throughout the year. Megan worked at WLR Automotive in customer services for about 6 years. She currently was employed at the USPS in Walkersville, MD. Throughout her training there, she delivered mail throughout the area as far as Hagerstown. She loved her current job. In her short time there she developed a rapport for her friendly attitude, always volunteering to help as needed. Megan was a shining light in our lives and will be forever remembered for her kindness and compassion. 

Megan made an instant impact on everyone who met her due to her entertaining stories and hilarious sense of humor. She truly brought life to a party with her generous and boisterous laughter. Megan is survived by her daughters, Ava Marie and Autumn Rose, her former husband John and his family: mother Sherri her husband John, John’s father John, his siblings Tasha, Kacie, and Jacob, her parents Greg and Terry Baumanis, Mt. Airy, MD, sister, Jennifer and husband Chuck of Jefferson, MD, brother, Chris and wife Caitlyn of Taneytown, MD. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss her bright, generous smiles and hugs. WE LOVE YOU MOST!

A visitation to honor Megan’s life will be at Stauffer’s Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd., Walkersville, MD 21793, at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Burial services will be private for the family after the ceremony.
