Megan Ashley Grimes

Megan Ashley Grimes, 40, of Frederick, Maryland, left this earth on February 17, 2025.

She was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland in 1984 to Alan and Jan Grimes. She was an avid swimmer and softball player, a talented artist, a lover of animals, and a friend maker everywhere she went. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree and had a successful career working as Operations Manager at Unicorp.

 Megan had a zest for life that was infectious. Her smile lit up a room of five, fifty, or five hundred people. She loved going to the beach, rocking it at concerts, and going on adventures with her cherished family and friends. She was always up for anything and made everything a better and more memorable experience with her presence. Megan was kind, witty, thoughtful, and loved fiercely. Her bright light will be missed by all who knew and loved her, and her spirit will be honored by living life to the fullest and finding joy in every moment.

 Megan is preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Jan Grimes. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Shannon and Doug Groomes and Erin and Hunter Riley, soul sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Mark Mitchell, beloved boyfriend Barton Gates, brother Ryan Scott Grimes, aunt and uncle Laurie and Les Petersen, cousin Shane Tosten, and cousin Holly Fouche and husband Ed Fouche.

An informal Celebration of Life Service will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, on February 25, 2025 form 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
