Meagan Karn

Meagan R. Karn, 28, of Mt. Airy died on Saturday May 19, 2012. She was the daughter of Robert J “Buck” and Cheryl M. Karn.
She was born on April 10, 1984 in Washington D. C.
She was a 2002 graduate of South Carroll High School. She was working as a horse handler at Paradise Stables, Mt. Airy.
She is also survived by Paternal grandfather Robert J. Karn of Boyds and Maternal grandfather Julius L. Levatich of Florida. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Dr. Sandra O. Karn and Maternal grandmothers Ruth N. Levatich and Elizabeth Levatich.
Meagan’s interests included working with her beloved rescue horses, hiking, camping, attending music festivals, rock climbing and spending quality time with family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday June 1, 2012 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy, MD. Reverend Dennis Yocum will officiate. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at the Stauffer Funeral home starting at 11:30. A reception will follow at the Calvary United Methodist Church, all are welcome.
Meagan’s family is requesting donations to the Humane Society of the United States in lieu of flowers. The HSUS graciously donated and planted a dog wood tree in Meagan’s honor for her services with rescue horses.
