Maxine "Maggie" J. Hutzell, 80, of Hagerstown, Maryland, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Holly Place in Hagerstown.
Born on June 22, 1935, in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Calvin and Gertrude Line Hutzell.
Maggie was a resident on St. Paul Street in Boonsboro for 28 years, and she had been employed at the Boonsboro Laundromat for 31 years.
She was a member of Mt. Lena United Methodist Church in Boonsboro.
She is survived by her niece (whom she loved like a daughter) Kathy M. Beittel and her husband Michael of Boonsboro, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all four of her sisters, Goldie Renner, Esta Line, Evelyn Hammond, and Edna Jane Turner; as well as all six of her brothers, Harry, Kenneth, Harvey, Grayson, William, and Carroll Hutzell.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Chaplain Katherine Lippy will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Mt. Lena United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
