Maurice Miller

Mr. Maurice Edward Miller, 73 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon Miller for 50 years.

Born on June 17, 1937 in Rockville, MD he was the son of the late Rogers F. and Margaret Jacobs Miller.

Maurice proudly served in the United States Army. He most recently worked for Holly Hills Country Club. Mr. Miller was an avid golfer who also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Maurice was a faithful attendant of Frederick Baptist Church, where he loved spending time with his church family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Mark Miller and wife Darla of Oklahoma and Martin Miller and girlfriend Stephanie of Frederick, MD; daughter-in-law Meredith Miller; grandchildren Ashley Mwape and husband Elijah of TX, Jacob Miller of OK, Jerod Miller of TX, Jonathan Miller of Brunswick,MD and Zadock Miller of Brunswick, MD and great-grandson Tyson Miller of AZ; brothers Kenneth Miller and wife Naomi “Betty” of Woodbine,MD, Ronald Miller and wife Ruth of Walkersville, MD and Robert Miller and wife Nancy of Charlestown, WV. He will also be remembered by special friend Robert Windon of Frederick, MD.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael Eric Miller and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Saturday, May 7 at Frederick Baptist Church, 5305 Mt. Zion Rd., Frederick, MD, where services will be held at 11AM. Pastor John Seay will officiate.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
