Matthew Conway

On Saturday, March 13, 2021, Matthew James Conway, brother, son, and friend passed away at the age of 18.

Matthew was born August 23, 2002 in Frederick, MD to Kathryn Conway. He was a senior in high school finishing his high school diploma and had been working customer service in Walkersville.

Matthew loved books and would read for hours every day. He loved subjects ranging from Philosophy to Calculus and English Literature. He was smart and ambitious, earnestly devoted to his studies. He was very loved by family, friends, and co-workers alike.

With a great heart beyond compare, Matthew was full of humor and was a blessing to whoever he met. He was there when you needed him the most. With an open heart, he could easily become a close friend, an icon free of judgement and full of laughter. His positive connections with people were driven by a mind that sought to improve himself and those around him.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Kathryn, his siblings, Lucas, Jenna, and Joseph, his grandparents Anne and Tom Kapfhammer, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friends Billy and Sagan. Matthew’s service and funeral were held on Friday, March 19th. His final resting place is in Glade Cemetery, Walkersville. He is dearly and deeply missed.
