Mason William Swartz

Mr. Mason William Swartz, 96, of Frederick died Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Frederick Health Hospital. He was the loving husband of Cherie Swartz. They were married for 74 years. 

Born September 27, 1926 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mason William Swartz Sr. and Helen Selby Swartz. 

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. 

Mr. Swartz worked for different telephone companies for 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and playing sports in his younger years. 

He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jerry M. Swartz and wife Nancy, and Kathi Wiles and husband David; grandchildren, Kristin Swartz and husband Dennis Fleming, and Eric Swartz and wife Meghan; and great-grandson, Logan Swartz. 

He was predeceased by his brother, Howard V. Swartz. 

All services will be private.
