Mary "Molly" Davis

Mary "Molly" Wallace Davis, of Lorton, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, peacefully in her sleep after a prolonged battle with COPD and congestive heart failure.  Born on April 29, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Garnet and Thomas Davis.

She is survived by daughter Tina Marie Bell, Son-In-Law Robert L. Bell and her beloved grandsons, Brandon (20), Tanner (16) and Corey (15), also of Lorton, Virginia as well as an older brother, Thomas Conway Davis, who resides in Roxboro, North Carolina.  Her daughter and grandsons were truly the light of her life and she would tell anyone who would listen all about them.   She now joins her parents, as well as older brother Harry Woodward Davis, all of whom predeceased her.

Molly grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland.  Her sunny, friendly personality drew many people to her, some of whom she was still in touch with.  She married Robert Lee Graves in 1967 and gave birth to her only child, Tina, in 1968.  The marriage would not last and she would go on to marry Brian Keith Lee Diamond.  Even though this marriage also wouldn't last, the years with Brian and his family were some of the happiest of her and Tina's lives and she and Brian would remain close friends long after they divorced.

Molly loved being around people and this drew her to the service industry.  She even drove a taxi cab for a few years which always made her daughter laugh because "she was not the best driver, but that is how she met Brian so it worked out."  She was, however, an amazing waitress and was loved by coworkers and customers wherever she worked.  She would go on o become a cashier for Giant Food and would eventually retire from there as well.

She resided with Tina and her family for many years and after she retired, she moved to Florida with a friend and remained there until her health began to fail.  She had just recently returned to the area and was being cared for by her close friend, Michelle Fletcher, at the time of her death.

"As I write this for my mother, I believe she lived a full life.  There were many ups and downs and even though I know things didn't turn out the way she hoped they would, she loved, and was loved.  She will be missed and I hope she is at peace.  I love you mom, and I will miss you more than you know." ~ Tina Marie Bell, daughter of Molly Davis.
