Mary Louise Rippeon

Mrs. Mary Louise Rippeon, 76, of Frederick passed into the loving arms of Christ on June 9, 2007 at John's Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. She was the wife of John W. Rippeon Sr. and they had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 26, 2007. They resided at Crestwood Village in Frederick.

Born in Frederick County on November 10, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Gladys A. Horton Esworthy.

Mrs. Rippeon was a member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Mt. Airy and was past member of the Gideons Women's Auxiliary. Her most enjoyable times were those spent with her family and devoted Bischons, Misty & Buddy. She also enjoyed her time with close friends playing cards.

Her love, laughter and quick wit will be missed, her uniqueness can never be replaced, but our hearts will go on singing for we shall meet again.

Surviving in addition to her husband, she was the loving mother of Donna Campbell and husband Jerry of Woodsboro, John Rippeon Jr. and wife Sally, Galen Rippeon and wife Sandy, Kimberly Pyles and husband Rodney and Sherri Rippeon and Ralph Swann all of Frederick. Loving grandmother of Timothy Campbell, Todd Campbell and Thomas Campbell of Woodsboro, John N. Rippeon, Paul Rippeon, and Jeff Rippeon of Frederick, Christopher Rippeon of Frederick and Jennifer Rippeon of Emmitsburg, Brandon Pyles and Tyler Pyles of Frederick, Michael Rippeon and Mitchell Weedon of Frederick. She had 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Mrs. Rippeon was also survived by a foster brother James A. Chaney of Florida.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 13356 Glissans Mill Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. The Reverend Wayne Hall and Reverend Wallace A.Lusk will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael and Thomas Campbell, John, Jeff, Christopher and Michael Rippeon, and Brandon and Tyler Pyles. Honorary bearers will be grandsons, Paul and Mitchell Rippeon.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
