Mrs. Mary Jo Cameron, 68, of Frederick, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at College View Center, Frederick.
Born on March 10, 1939, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Lane Beaton. She was a 1957 graduate of Bladensburg High School, received her registered nursing degree from Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC and her training as a nurse anaesthesiologist from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. She enjoyed art and liked to paint; she was a devote Catholic.
Surviving are two children; D.J. Cameron of Frederick and Kasey Mathews and husband John of Waldorf; a granddaughter, Danielle Mathews of Waldorf; a brother, Stephen Beaton and wife Sandra of Martinsburg, WV; 8 nieces and nephews, Steve Beaton Jr, Timothy L. Beaton Sr, Melanie D. Harshman, Jason M. Beaton Sr, Christopher S. Beaton, Joshua W. Beaton Sr, Michael L. Beaton and Pamela M. Beaton; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and their families. Mary Jo will also be remembered by her special friend, John Nance of Frederick. Mrs. Cameron was preceded in death by a brother, John L. Beaton. The family would like to thank the staff of College View Center for their care of Mary Jo.

Services:
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick with Deacon John L. Manley of St. John's Catholic Church, Frederick, officiating.
Interment will be private.
