Mary "Jane" Tresselt

Mrs. Mary Jane (Adams) Tresselt, 86, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, January 4, 2015, at her home.
Born on March 29, 1928, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John Clyde and Mary Elizabeth (Long) Adams. Her husband, Ernest Frederick Tresselt predeceased her on March 15, 2007.
Following graduation from High School, Jane enrolled in Beauty School and became a beautician. She was in Beauty School in Philadelphia when she met her husband-to-be, Ernie Tresselt.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Thurmont, Maryland. For many years she was also a member of the Business and Professional Women’s organization. Her great passion was playing bridge and she was a member of several area bridge clubs. Jane was an active member of the Thurmont community.
For many years, Jane and her husband, Ernie, owned and operated the family fish farm, Hunting Creek Fisheries, Inc.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Drusilla Tresselt of Frederick, Maryland; and her son, John Frederick Tresselt of York, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Ian Frederick Tresselt and spouse Joe, Matthew Frederick Klinger and spouse Jessica, Ryan Michael Klinger and spouse Stephanie, Grant Connor Tresselt and Sarah Grace Tresselt; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Michael Klinger, Lylah Jane Klinger, and Isaac Ray Serna; her brother, John Clyde Adams, Jr and spouse Dee of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters, Virginia Mae Brown, Frances Helen Blaszak, and Joan Lucille Nesbit.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Altamont Avenue in Thurmont. Rev. Susan Beck will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 15 North Church Street, Thurmont, MD 21788 or to a charity of one's choice.
