Mary H. (Brandt) Henson, 97, of Boonsboro, died on Monday, July 20, 2009 at Reeders Memorial Home.
Born on July 11, 1912, she was the daughter the late Nervin J. and Eva Mae (Owen) Brandt.
Her husband, Edgar H. Henson preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. Henson was formerly employed at the Women's Correctional Facility in Jessup, Md. and also had worked at the Hagerstown Shoe Factory.
She is survived by her two sons, Nervin "Sonny" F. Henson, of Boonsboro and James "Jimmy" W. Henson of Savage, Md. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her daughter, Eva "Snooky" C. Baker; two sisters Ruth Cassidy & Anna Jackson; two brothers Bruce and Owen Brandt; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Pastor Joy E. Zepp will be officiating. Interment will be at the Manor Church Cemetery in Boonsboro.
Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 9 am on Friday, July 24, 2009, where the family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m.
