Mary "Eloise" (Jamison) Grim, 91, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, July 15, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at her home.
Born on November 15, 1922, in Dargan, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Gurtha M. (Hanes) Jamison. Her husband of sixty-six years, Everard T. Grim, preceded her in death on April 11, 2006.
She was a lifelong member of Samples Manor Church of God in Dargan, and served on the church cemetery board for many years.
Eloise enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Junior Grim and his wife, Deloris, of Sharpsburg; her four grandchildren; her two great-granddaughters; a special nephew, Jan and his wife, Missie, of Sharpsburg; and her special friend and caretaker, Shirley Myers, also of Sharpsburg. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eloise was preceded in death by her four sisters, Nellie I. Carver, Lilly M. Ingram, Dorothy E. Stevens, and Pauline E. Keller; and her three brothers, George, Charles, and Carlos Jamison.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland. The Rev. Kenneth W. Johnson will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Samples Manor Cemetery in Dargan.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home.
