Mary Ellen {Peggy} Ausherman
August 29, 1925 — April 2, 2010
Mary Ellen Peggy Ausherman, 84, formerly of Shookstown, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the College View Center. She was the wife of the late Gilmore L. Pete Ausherman .
Born in Mt. Pleasant, MD on August 29, 1925, Peggy was the daughter of the late Rena (Snyder) and John T. DeGrange. After her husband's death in 1973, Peggy went to work as a sales lady for Woolco, Murphy Mart and then Ames retiring in 2000.
She was a past member of the Shookstown Sewing Club, enjoyed cooking and had a GreenThumb for growing flowers.
Survivors include her two sons; Wayne C. Ausherman and wife Jane A. of Frederick, and Terry D. Ausherman and wife Donna M. of Shookstown; four grandchildren, Eric W. Ausherman and wife Nicole, John D. Ausherman, Jeffrey David Ausherman and wife Eileen, and Jennifer Lynn Ausherman; one great grandchild, Mary Ann Ausherman. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, John and Charles DeGrange and Ed and Paul Wentzel.
Visitation: Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lloyd Fuss officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens where serving as pallbearers will be: Brad Peterson, Rodney Masser, James Hannigan and her three grandsons, Eric, John and Jeffrey.
Services: The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md.
