Mary E. Gross

Mrs. Mary E. Gross, 86, of Myersville died on Sunday October 21, 2007 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Leon N. Gross who died in 1995.
Born on October 3, 1921 in Frederick County she was the daughter of the late George W. and Myrtle I. Putman Hubbard.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick, Life member of Independent Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary were she was past treasurer and chaplain. She worked for over 35 years at Sagners clothing manufacturing in Frederick.
Surviving are four children James Wright and wife Sherry of LaPlata, Carole Lydard of Martinsburg, WV, Bonnie Robertson and companion Samuel Summers of Frederick and Debra Thomas and husband Donald of Myersville. 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Brothers Glen Hubbard of CA and Charles Hubbard and wife Doris of Woodsboro. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Mark Robertson, son in law Robert Lydard, sisters Helen Whipp, Frances Davis and Kathleen Hubbard and brothers John, Raymond and Ralph Hubbard.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 24 from 7-9pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
