Mary Colleen Warner

August 21, 1956 — October 18, 2009

Mrs. Mary Colleen Warner, 53, of Cooksville, MD passed away peacefully in her home October 18, 2009 after a long and courageous battle against breast cancer.

A graduate of University of Maryland, Colleen worked for over two decades in the insurance claims industry. After her diagnosis of breast cancer, she returned to a new calling as a teaching assistant at Bellows Springs ES. She concentrated her efforts helping children become proficient in the English language to facilitate their further education.

Colleen exhibited the ability to bring the best out in people. Throughout her personal and business life, colleagues, friends, associates and students excelled in part from the encouragement and support from Colleen. As evidence of her love for others, Colleen was a strong supporter of the American Cancer Relay for Life and supported women recently diagnosed with breast cancer throughout the ACS Reach for Referral Assistance Program.

Colleen is survived by her husband of 21 years, Karl Warner and devoted daughter Mary Kate Warner.

She is the daughter of Robert (deceased) and Dorothy Noon of Bel Air, MD. Surviving siblings are Kevin Noon, Charlene Fluster and George Noon.
