Mary Christine Wiles

Mrs. Mary Christine Wiles, 80 of Frederick died on Friday August 15, 2008 at Frederick Memorial Hospital with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of John F. Wiles.

Born on November 11, 1927 in Frederick she was the daughter of the late William M. and Mary M. Tyeryar Stevens.

Mrs. Wiles worked for the Frederick Tayloring Company, The Hartz Sewing Company and for American Optical Company where she was instrumental in the design of a cost saving device in the making of eyeglasses for which she received company recognition.
After her retirement she went to work in retail at the Bon Ton and the Woolworth Co.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter Judy A. Neal and her husband Robert B. of Middletown. One grandson Randy B. Neal of Middletown. Brother Russell Stevens of Ranson, WV. Special friend Violet I. Neal of Frederick. Mrs. Wiles was preceded in death by brothers Alvin and Rudolph Stevens and sister Betty Keyser.

The family would like to thank the following people who helped with her care; Faye Scott at Citizens Nursing Home, Dr. Zaidi, Dr. Casagrande, Janet McCurdy, and the Staff of Citizens Nursing Home for their wonderful care.

Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday August 17, 2008 from 3-5 pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, at 2:00 pm at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The Reverend Elsabeth Hilke will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
