Born on August 15, 1945, in Thurmont, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mearl Dewees and Lana Dewees (Morningstar).
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Oscar Staub Sr., who passed on April 8, 2005.
Mary loved gardening and bringing new life into the world, she would want you to make sure you plant your tomatoes! Watching hummingbirds and feeding them were also a passion of hers.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, her son James Oscar Staub Jr., and his wife Kara, grandsons; Colby and Cordell Staub, granddaughter; Cortney Moats and husband Zach and three great-grandchildren; Kasadie, Tucker and Ryker Moats. She is also survived by her daughter; Jean Blank and her husband Eddie, granddaughters; Kate and Brittany Blank, along with many more brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, in Thurmont, Maryland. Services will be held at 11:00 am the same day. Ed Schildt will be officiating. Internment will follow services at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Mary, loved family and all the kids, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
