Mary Sharer

Mary Ann Sharer, , of Thurmont, MD passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Sharer, Sr.

Born August 28, 1944 in MD she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Martha (Green) Harbaugh

Mary was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church and also attended Trinity UCC. For the majority of her life she worked for the Thurmont coop where she was dearly loved by all of her customers. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Thurmont Grange. Mary loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by her children Robert Sharer, Jr. and wife Candy of Fairfield, PA, Rebecca Sharer-Long and husband Chip of Thurmont; grandchildren, Crystal Wiles and husband Adam, Carrie Winston and husband Liam and Logan Long;great grandchildren, Camron Wiles and Alyssa Wiles;brother David Harbaugh and wife Tammy of Thurmont; brother-in-law Harry Sharer and sister-in-laws Lottie Trigg and husband Wayne and Ann Fraley and husband Joe. She will also be missed by her many special friends.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, MD on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 6-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 10AM. Rev. Sean DeLawder and Rev. Ray Dudley will officiate.

Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
