Mrs. Mary Selepak, 88, of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Frederick, Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Andrew Selepak.
Born on June 28, 1922 in Sidman, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Olive Woolston Kakabar.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Surviving are her children Robert Selepak and wife Sally of Hedgesville, WV, Rosemary Massengill and husband Richard of Frederick, MD and Dennis Selepak of Jefferson, MD; grandchildren Richard Massengill, III and wife Lisa of Taneytown, MD, Scott Massengill and wife Stacy of Lutherville, MD and Keri Kolbay and husband Michael of West Bradford, PA; great-grandchildren Trenton Massengill, Dylan Massengill, Payton Massengill, Tyler Martin, Liam Kolbay, Ryan Massengill, Colton Massengill, Jessica Kolbay and Christopher Mayeski; sister Dorothy Selepak of Beaverdale, PA; brothers William Kakabar and wife Theresa of Dunlo, PA and Ronald Kakabar and wife Beverly of Beaverdale, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by sister Ruth Piekarski and granddaughter Gina Martin.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 16 at the Stauffer Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 17 at St. John’s the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 118 E. Second Street, Frederick, MD. The Rev. Monsignor Richard Murphy will be the celebrant. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
