Mary A. Putnam, of Willliamsport, MD, was received into the arms of her savior on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
She was born in Baltimore, MD on July 15, 1923. She lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas before returning to Maryland for the last ten years of her life. She was a member of the Van Lear Brethren-Christ Church.
Mary was lifelong Redskins fan , she had a great love for animals, rainbows,poetry,painting,clowns,laughter,an most of all loved Our Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine& Michael Babczak, husband Gene Putnum and granddaughter Tracy Kent.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Lally of Pennsylvania, her two daughters – Barbara Henry of Maryland and Eileen Reher of Wyoming, 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren, and her dog Lexi.
A memorial service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Van Lear Brethren-Christ Church in Williamsport, MD. A pot luck meal will be offered after the service.
