Mary Pamela "Pam" Hooton

Mary Pamela "Pam" Hooton, 72, of Frederick, passed from this life on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. 

Born on December 11, 1951, in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Richard Hooton and Rita Hulstine Hooton. She spent her early years in Rowlesburg, WV. 

Pam was a 1971 graduate of TJ High School. She worked as a contract worker for Jeanne Bussard Center, as a room attendant at Value City and Hampton Inn. She was a member of the Brunswick Eagles. Pam loved to travel including especially to exotic places including Egypt, Greece, Italy, England, Czech Republic, but her favorite city was Paris, France. Everyone thought of her as a sweet and loving person who gave great hugs. 

Pam is survived and cherished by her sister, Lelia Ann Hooton of Frederick; cousins: Cathy Colbert and Frank Loffelman; good friends Yvonne du Buy, Cris Moore and Frances Gibson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Lee Hooton. 

The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Thursday, August 1, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick where a celebration of Pam's life will begin at 1:00 PM. A private interment will take place on a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. 

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
