MARY NUSBAUM

Mary Ellen Nusbaum, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, Maryland died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born December 14, 1932, in Frederick County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Nellie Virginia Fogle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Nusbaum Jr. after 59 years of marriage, and their son, Major Dale Nusbaum, retired USAF.

Mary is survived by her son Randy Nusbaum and wife Valerie of Thurmont; her grandson Andrew Nusbaum and wife Stephanie of Lynn Haven, FL; her granddaughter Christine Nusbaum and fiancé Matt Mason of Panama City, FL; her great-granddaughters Clara Nusbaum and Daelyn Mason both of FL.  She is also remembered by her brother Kenny Fogle and sister in-law Betty, and her sister Patsy Hedges and brother in-law John, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Mary was a lifelong member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren, and an active member of the Christ Quest Sunday School Class.

Mary enjoyed her family, gardening, cooking, baking and was known for her peanut butter fudge.  Throughout their lives, Mary and Bill enjoyed traveling across the country, camping at the beach, and spending time at their home.

Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to either the Frederick County Human Society, or the Christ Quest Sunday School Class in care of the Frederick Church of the Brethren.

A celebration of Mary’s and Bill’s lives will be held at a future date.
