Mrs. Mary Frances Luhn, 76, of New Market, Maryland, passed away, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of James R. Luhn, her husband of 58 years.
Born April 21, 1938 in Frederick Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Frances P. Cook and Donald and Charlotte Shaw.
Mrs. Luhn was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. In earlier years she worked for Sagner Sewing Factory. Mrs. Luhn was a loving wife, mother and a good friend to all that knew her. She was a devoted fan of General Hospital and loved playing bingo and bowling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Lisa M. Ecker and husband Larry of New Market and Vickie Clum and fiancé Dana Snyder of Boonsboro, grandchildren Brian Ecker and girlfriend Ashley of Frederick, Morgan Ecker of New Market and Andrew Snyder of Boonsboro, her aunt Betty Jane Nicholson and husband Johnny, her brother-in-law Charles Luhn and wife Betty, and special friends Kathy and Perry Lawson. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, August 3, from 6-8:00 pm. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 4, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 E. Church Street, Frederick.
