Mrs. Mary Jane Long, 84, of Sabillasville, MD., passed away suddenly on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Western Maryland Hospital. She was the wife of Robert Long, Sr., her husband of 65 years.
Born February 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William and Alta Brown Wagaman.
Mrs. Long was a very active member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church. Mary retired from Claire Frock after 29 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, cooking, baking and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Robert “Bill” Long, Jr. and daughter-in-law Christine, granddaughters Cheryl Ann Long and Jennifer Kay Long, a great granddaughter Caitlyn Glover all of Smithsburg, nephew Richard Wagaman and niece Ruby Jean Ingram. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Ray and Glenn and a sister Hazel Wagaman.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Friday, November 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Saturday, November 10, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Ray Dudley officiating.

Interment Creagerstown Cemetery.
