Mary Frances (Fran) Lehmann, age 82, beloved wife of 62 years of the late Edward Arthur Lehmann, passed away on March 14, 2015. Fran was born Nov. 17, 1932 in Laurel, MD to the late James Ellsworth Fairall and Doris Beall Fairall.
Fran spent most of her professional career in banking with Frederick County National Bank and remained a constant presence through acquisitions, retiring from BB&T. Prior to entering the banking industry, she also was the Managing Director of the Weinberg Center for the Arts, worked in the Alumni Office at Hood College, and for Ritchie Associates Insurance upon moving to Frederick in 1968.
In recent years, Fran enjoyed a myriad of activities at Crestwood Village, sitting on the Board of Trustees, covering the desk in the clubhouse, and supporting multiple committees. She treasured the many friendships cultivated over the last 16 years as a resident of the Crestwood Village Community. Fran loved to do all sorts of needlework, donating hundreds of crocheted lap blankets to those battling cancer.
Fran is survived by three sons: Michael E. Lehmann and wife Linda of Lafayette ,CO, Richard K. Lehmann and wife Cece of Hagerstown, and Charles K. (Chuck) Lehmann and partner Terri Lamb of Woodsboro; and daughters Deb Lehmann Lanzendorfer and husband Wayne of Williamsport, MD, and Laurie Lehmann Frey and husband Paul of Frederick. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a sister, Judy Carr and husband John Carr of Laurel, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, March 18 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19 at 10 am with the Rev. Mark Sandell officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain HWY (15N), Frederick.
