Mary Keyser

Mary Pauline Keyser, age 90, of Frederick went to be with her Savior on Thursday, June 16, 2010. She was the wife of the late James B. Keyser who preceded her in death on October 16, 1998.
Born in Frederick on October 12, 1919, she was one of ten children of the late C. Oscar and Emily A. Hildebrand Schultz. She was retired from FCPS where she worked in the cafeterias of West Frederick and Yellow Springs schools. Pauline was an active member of the Edgewood Church of God. She was involved as the missionary coordinator, custodian, deaconess, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and participated as a member of the Young at Heart. She supported many charities both financially and prayerfully. She was also a member of the Gambrill Park Homemakers and the United Civic Association. She is well remembered for her yellow butternut and fresh coconut cakes. The grandchildren fondly remember her puff rice balls and Sunday dinners. Along with baking she enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, working on puzzles, going on trips with her family to the beach, and playing dominoes.
She is survived by 2 sons, Philip and wife, Charlene, John and wife, Carol all of Frederick, one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Henry and husband, Joe of Hagerstown, 12 grandchildren, Jeff Keyser and wife, Michelle of Dillsburg, Pa., Melanie Cooper and husband Mike of Oakland, Calvin Keyser and wife, Eileen of Hagerstown, Carissa Troutman and husband, Scott of Dillsburg, Pa., David Keyser and wife, Gwendy of Martinsburg. WV., Dan Keyser and wife, Julie of Frederick, Deborah Ransbottom and husband, Brandon of Findlay, OH., John Keyser of Jefferson, Scott Keyser and finance, Angie Brumley of Hagerstown, Amy Davalos and husband, James of Kilo Devil Hills, NC., Matt Keyser and wife, Lorraine of Frederick, Sarah Bishop and husband, Jonathan of Clear Spring, 2 step-grandchildren, Joe Henry and wife, Bonnie, Jeff Henry and wife, Becky all of Summit Point WV. 21 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Oscar Schultz and wife, Abby of Findlay, OH., Robert Schultz and wife, Carol of Bowie, 3 sisters, Frances and Margret Burdette, Connie Shafer and husband, Jim all of Frederick and up to 4 generations of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Pauline was preceded in death by 2 sons, infant Clinton who died in 1956, and Jimmy who died in 1994, 3 brothers, Clarence, Ralph, and Tom Schultz and one sister, Violet Boyer.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 21 st from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at the Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Rd., Frederick on Tuesday, June 22 nd at 10:00AM with Pastor Joe Burdette of Mt. Briar and Pastor Joe Sheedy of Edgewood will officiate.
Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet cemetery. The grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to CGGC Cross Cultural Ministries or the Winebrenner Seminary in care of Edgewood Church of God.
