Mary Hilton

Mrs. Mary Catherine Dudrow Hilton, 88 of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Royal G. Hilton, Jr., his wife of 44 years.
Born February 4, 1926 in Walkersville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Blanche Shoemaker Dudrow.
Mrs. Hilton was a graduate of the Walkersville High School where she participated in the Glee Club, Cheerleaders and was an actress in the school plays. During WWII, Mary was a plane spotter. She was an accomplished pianist, seamstress and enjoyed antiquing, yard saleing, but most of all spending time with her family. For most of her life she was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and in later life she became a member of Wesley Chapel U.M. Church. She loved cats and will be missed by her special “Rufus”.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Nancy Simon Middleton and fiance George Hvizdos of Walkersville, David Simon, of W.V, and Rebecca Simon Klipp and husband Gene of Woodsboro, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one niece. She was preceded in death by a brother Walter H. Dudrow, Jr.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 11:00 am , from the Wesley Chapel U M Church, 3519 Urbana Pike, Urbana, MD
Interment will be private
