Mary Hill

Mary Carolyn Hill, 76, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away on March 31, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Francis Hill Jr. for nearly 58 years.

Born on July 15, 1945, in Thurmont, she was the daughter of the late Raymond William and Alta Irene (Stottlemyer) Hubbard. Mary was devoted to her family. She is survived by her children: Paul Hill and wife Jenny, Seth Hill and wife Kathy, Eliza Hill and partner Michael Myer and Rosemary Hill and husband Michael. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Mariah Hill and husband Tyler Johnson, Heather Cook and husband Sean and Caleb Hill as well as great-grandchildren: Eden and Salem Johnson; brother, Kenneth Hubbard Sr. and wife Ruth and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, horses and dogs. She had a tender and loving heart for people and all creatures great and small.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Stottlemyer, Delores Manahan and Evelyn Holt and her beloved K-9 companion Lou.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6th from 12 noon until 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- Walkersville Ward, 1811 Latham Drive, Frederick, MD 21701.The service will begin at 1pm at the church.
