Mary Frances Trout

Mary Frances Trout , 97, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Born on July 18, 1925, in Frederick County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Bentz and Louise (Davis) Bentz.

She was married to her first husband, Charles W. Powell, they were married 26 years at the time of his passing in 1972.  She later married Austin Trout, they were married 22 years at the time of his passing.

Mary graduated Frederick County High School, later she worked for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, Maryland.

She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) William Powell, Jr. of Charlotte, NC.; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Vaquero and great-granddaughter, Pilar Vaquero both of San Diego, CA.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret (Peg) Lutz of Middletown, MD., Betty Renn of FL., and Posey Bury of CA.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. 21702.

A celebration of Mary's life will take follow at 10:30 am.  Pastor Paul Baglyos will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
