Mrs. Mary L. Curtin, 78, of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Northampton Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late David Curtin.
Born on January 21, 1936 in Rochester, NY she was the daughter of the late Leo G. and Gertrude Skahan Hosenfeld.
Mary worked as an R.N. for 41 years for both the hospital and a private practice. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her children Barbara Crotzer and husband Calvin of Frederick, David Curtin and wife Vanessa of Middletown, Mary Wright and husband Peter Friedlander of Frederick, Shawn Curtin and wife Ellen of Leesburg, VA and James Curtin and wife Kimberly of NY; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother Leo Hosenfeld of New Mexico and sister Barbara Clay of NH.
She was preceded in death by her grandson Daniel Crotzer and brother-in-law Henry Clay.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 3-5PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10AM. Father Leo Halloran will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Cemetery of Christ Reformed, Middletown.
