Mary Bruchey

Mary Elizabeth Wenzel Bruchey, 85, of Middletown passed peacefully at home on November 27, 2016.
Born October 10, 1931 in Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Catherine Falk Wenzel. She was the wife of the late George W. Bruchey, Jr. who preceeded her in death in July. They were married for 65 years.
She was a graduate of Frederick High School, Class of 1948.
She was an Owner in Bruchey Builders and was previously employed by M.J. Grove Lime Company.
She is survived by four children, George W. Bruchey, III and wife Debbie, Debra Bachtell and husband Donald, Robert Bruchey and James Bruchey and wife Danelle.
She is survived by 12 grandchildren, George W. Bruchey, IV, Sarah Bruchey, Jason Blumenauer, Ryan Blumenauer, Andrew Kuhlman, Robert Bruchey, Jr., Rebecca Bruchey, Carissa Bruchey, Megan Toney, Ashley Bruchey, Katie Bruchey and Brandon Bruchey.
She is survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by devoted nephew, Bill Bere and sister-in-law, Margaret Bere.
She was preceeded in death by two sisters, Nancy Barnes and Shirley Wenzel.
The family will receive friends from 5-8PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Burial will be private.
