Mrs. Mary Frances Beck, 82, of Walkersville, MD passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Clem Monroe Beck for 45 years.

Born August 26, 1935 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Margaret Hamilton Nikirk Harpalas.

Mary was a longtime member of St. Johns Roman Catholic Church. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed her monthly visits to Charles Town with her best friend Peggy.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children Glenna Stup of Walkersville, Charles Barker, Jr. and wife Terry of Frederick and Steve Barker and wife Deanna of Chambersburg; five grandchildren Edgar Stup, Jr. and wife Kendall, Timothy Stup, Cari Jordan and husband Olock, Corey Barker and Ami Naugle and husband Jake; stepchildren Helen Hughes and husband John of Charleston, SC, Terri Griffith and husband Terry of Middletown and Eric Beck and wife Jennifer of Waynesboro, PA; step grandchildren Christopher Webb, Kaitlyn Hughes, Meghan Hughes, Jessica Powers, Nichole Griffith, Jacob Griffith, Angela Beck, Kristen Beck and Elijah Beck; sister Sharon Hartsock and husband Larry of Hagerstown; two brothers James Harpalas and wife Christa of Martinsburg, WV Martin Nikirk of Hagerstown, and sister in law Patricia Carson of Bradenton, FL; great grandchildren Wyatt, Riley, Olock, Jr., Amari, Calvin, Mason, Stevie, Xander, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by grandson Bradley Barker, a sister Glenna Nikirk, brother Charles Carson, step father Louis Harpalas and step-mother Ruth Nikirk.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
