Mary Phillips

Mary Ann Phillips, 91, of Boonsboro, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Sterling Care South Mountain in Boonsboro, MD.
Born on April 6, 1929 in Funkstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Kesselring and Eva O. (Bierley) Kesselring. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Ebberts.
She graduated in 1947 from Hagerstown High School and went on to attend and graduate from Nursing school in Baltimore, MD. She spent most of her working career as a nurse at Washington County Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Funkstown and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro. Mary Ann was active in the Lutheran Women’s group.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce M. Shriver and husband John, Barbara A. Modica and Betty J. Norris; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Burial will be private and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
